The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last two weeks, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of.
A joint meeting was conducted with Clarion Housing Association to share information to safeguard residents and have a joint response to any issues that needed to be addressed.
This week the teams have been apart of the protection patrol for local synagogues and local communities, providing reassurance. These are being continued in the coming weeks.
The teams have arrested a male for shoplifting in the Coop, the amount totalled to £30, due to this being a first-time incident and paying the shop for the amount. The male was issued with a community resolution. A community resolution is an informal, out-of-court method for resolving low-level offences, allowing offenders to make amends without a formal criminal record.
Two males have been arrested in relation to a £4000 worth of shoplifting in Boots Beckenham High Street, they are currently in custody and further investigations are being conducted. A search of both their properties have been conducted for any other stolen items.
The teams have been apart of the end of school term, ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) patrols around Bromley Town Centre, a Section 35 dispersal order was put in place and the town centre is being monitored.
Upcoming Events April Events will be confirmed in next weeks letter.
